Does anyone know where to point me in regards to importing a euro spec car? Or, know if it is even possible? I have a friend with a Diesel W210 that I would like to get (manual trans, direct rail) I have heard it is doable, and I have heard, it is not doable. Ideas?
Thanks fellas

1) Importing of a foreign vehicle to the US must be done by a bonded auto importer that will;
2) Modify the car so that it conforms to US safety and emission specs as of the date that it was manufactured and;
3) Will warrant/guarantee the modifications.
There are exemptions for cars that are for racing or display purposes only (no title can be issued) and also for cars that over 20 years old.

How to "Americanise" a Mercedes:
-Change headlights to DOT garbage so the American lamp mfrs. stay in business
-Dull down the engine to make it as bad as something from Detroit
-Hack up the bumpers
-Levy tariffs and other fees to punish you for being unpatriotic by not buying American.
