I am getting my SLK55 mid 2005. I will wait for the new 5.5L V8 if I know for certain that it would be available no later than early 2006!

i have read on the net that MB is coming out with new engines that are dohc 4 valve but i just can't remember where i read it.
i would love to have a 400hp engine without a turbo or supercharger. for me that is the ideal amount of horsepower for a mid size sedan. and as much as i love the new kompressor motors power..... i have a hard time putting up money and buying one. the main reason is that if MB moves to 6 litre motors without superchargers and they achieve the HP increases that we expect them to .....i truly feel that the kompressors will drop
like a stone in water in resale value. i just sold an M5 and i was happy that it was powerful car without any type of forced induction. it just seems simpler and cleaner to me. but...if you put me in an E55 for a day i'm sure i would be singing a different tune!!!!:p
