class action = extended warranty on engines?
i read on another MB forum that a class action suit started by a owner who used regular dino oil in his '98 engine when it should have been syn and his engine had sludge in it or something. MB extended the engine portion of the warranty from 4 years/50k to 10years/150k miles? is this true? And the year range was from '98 - '01?

it applies to ALL Mercedes Benz 1998/1999/2000/2001
Per civil Action case #01-2902
The warranty is for 10 years or 150,000 miles
And Is ONLY for Oil Consumption ..rings/guides/valve stem seals

So the warranty extention is based on Oil Consumption problems with the rings/guides/valve stem seals. But what about problems that are secondary to issues relating to Oil Consumption ..rings/guides/valve stem seals
