I'm a complete MB noob so please bare with me.

I'm looking at buying a W210 E200 Kompressor and would like to get my head around how the supercharger works.

I read around that the supercharger has a clutch on it like an aircond compressor. So does this mean that it cuts in & out?

What cuts it in & out?

Example of how a clutched kompressor works.
Essentially, when you accelerate hard, the clutch engages the s/c to force cold air thru your induction system.
