CPO Warranty Not Covered
I think the CPO warranty in general is as good as you can get, but I'm curious to hear about people's stories about things that were not covered under the CPO warranty. Obviously maintenance stuff isn't covered, but what items did your dealer refuse to repair under CPO warranty?

I'm still on the factory warranty for my MB, but my previous car was a CPO BMW e92. At one point it developed a transmission problem where the car would buck under acceleration, often when coming out of a turn, when it should be downshifting. It seemed like it couldn't decide which gear it should go in and it would slam in and out of a couple until it landed on one. I drove it with the technician who immediately recognized the problem. He said there was a service bulletin about it, and the factory-designated fix was to add a fluid called "Top Treat" to the transmission. This fluid cost in excess of $400 and they wanted me to pay for it, because "fluids are not covered under warranty". I argued all the way to the top service manager that this was not a "maintenance" fluid, but rather a special application designated by the factory to correct a defect. In the end, BMW refused to cover it under warranty, but the dealership covered it as a "good will" gesture. Insane.

An extended MB warranty is the same as a B2B warranty except it excludes battery, light bulbs, shocks and struts.
