Slk55 R171 running gear swap ?
Hi guys,
So here is my question, my car has been written off in the recent storms in my area and it wasn’t covered for hail damage 😢 , it’s a 2008 SLK55. So my car body wise is fu#ked , but I’m thinking I can maybe turn my bad luck into something cool 😎 the one thing that’s always been painful is only having 2 seats , so I’m thinking maybe I can solve my problems with an engine swap.
so my question is what mb chassis would be the best to buy that would be best suited for what I wanted to do and with the least amount of work and modifications?
i was thinking a C class in the same year (2008) ?
im looking to basically have 4/5 seats and not really be older then what I’m already in (2008 +)?
Remembering Im in Australia so local knowledge isn’t very good as far as I know (Queensland)
Any guiedence would be great
