Just came across MB dealership that does not have "Freight and PDI" in its price quote for the new car and claims they don't charge it on the new cars while I know most do. Is there a catch?

Nothing in this world is free. The dealer could be just not charging for freight and PDI but that would lower his profit margin since he had to pay freight and there is a cost associated with PDI (although I doubt his cost is anywhere near what the customer gets charged).
IMO, you are going to pay it regardless. If it's not listed as a line item the cost is rolled into something else, They might not discount the purchase price as much or they won't offer as much for a trade in. It's a rare dealer that will willingly pass up charging for those two items.
