2000 MB e320 wagon
Mercedes CPO

I just purchased a CPO 2016 e350 wagon at a dealer and was told that I had to purchase the retractable cargo cover separately. I had never seen a wagon with that cover missing. I had to order and pay about two grand for the cover. How can I find out what should be included on a CPO Mercedes? Is the dealer correct about the cover being an option or should it come with the car?

This came up on another thread recently. The retractable cover is factory standard and should have been included in the CPO purchase. Since it wasn't, it is a difficult negotiating position to be in.

Possible options for you:

- negotiate a discount on the cover purchased from the dealer's parts department, if you really have to have it
- find it second hand or aftermarket
- not have it
