Mercedes was almost totaled but insurance FIXED IT!
HI,
I just wanted to share a story regarding my mother's mercedes c230.
The car was about 3 years old. My mother was at a 4 way intersection when someone ran a red light and t-boned the car on the passengers side.
The car looked completely totaled!
Insurance adjuster inspected it and estimated that it would cost $18,900 to fix the car. The estimated book value of the car at the time was $19,400.
We were all thinking- ok- they are not going to fix it they will just call it a total loss and pay us book value.
Low and behold- the insurance company said they wanted to fix it. They ended up replacing the entire passengers side of the car from the hood all the way back to the trunk!!
The car looked like new after the repairs. However about 3 years later the passengers door near the roof started leaking water inside when it rained, car started making all sorts of noises and ended up having to sell it cheap.
Crazy story if u ask me
