All I really care about is . . . will there be an E63 AMG Coupe. Not a sedan, not a wagon, but a coupe. They do it for the C-Class, and for the S-Class. Why not for the E-Class? E53 with it's 6-banger doesn't cut it.

Lol, Glad to see they're sticking with the 'problematic' air suspension and making it more complicated. What could possibly go wrong?

And I could really give a **** less about Greta the Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Warrior and the plug in bull****. Give me a real engine.

What Brand has the best driver assist features?
I’m not a troll. Just my candid opinions/questions.

First MB was 1957 Gullwing purchased 1961 from factory rep with 12,000 miles for $3,850.

Owned many E and S Class sedans beginning 1974.

Bought son uglya$$ AMG450 coupe and daughter GLS. So, I’m not anti MB.

My interest is the latest driver assist tech (former F-105 fighter pilot, digs whistles and bells) from ANY brand.

Question: will the E sedan/wagon have identical GLE driver assists/MBUX or will there be better and or more?

One of the car mags rated GLE 4th in class behind Porsche, BMW, and ??. They knocked MBUX and inline 6 not as impressive as BMW inline 6. (Got “burned” on two BMW Bavaria versions and will never buy another BMW product)

Regarding reduced engine maintenance cost for MB inline 6; note what the 3-4 year prepaid maintenance package costs for GLE inline 6.
2-yr 10,000 $1200, 3-yr 20,000 $1640, 4-yr 40,000 $2250

I’m eager to experience/read about “Sailing” (coasting) and engine shutdown feature in certain circumstances for fuel economy. I have not yet joined the “e” brigade.

I WILL purchase either a Genesis GV80 SUV or an E Class wagon by end of 2020. Not at SUV guy but love their driver assist technology and the price doesn’t hurt either (free 3-year maint).

Neither 2021 GV80 or 2021 E Class driver assist details have been fully revealed but I sense they will be comparable.

The one detail, assuming most other details are similar, is the GV80 displays a camera view of the adjacent lane in the instrument cluster when turn signal is on. That is a big jump from having a warning light illuminate in your side mirrors.

Specific items of interest between these two vehicles:

1. What is the minimum speed for lane tracking to work?

2. What is the speed range for Auto-Stop-Go to work?

Bag the air suspension bags
Will not buy another air suspension MB, had a GL, the bags are only good for a little over 100k, and then $$$ replacements. Does not appreciably make ride better, and even if it did, not worth the headache and replacement cost. MB, if you put that on your $$$ vehicles, how about they actually work?
