Used Warranty - Broken Door Handle LEDs
Hi Guy sorry if this is the wrong section, been reading for a long time but first time posting.
A couple of weeks a go I jumped the boat and got my first Merc, a used E class, was pretty excited about it, but it then started having some issues so I ended up having to take it in for service a few weeks after owning it.
One of the issues was that one of the door handle LEDs stopped working. I was told by the dealership this would cost me over £500 to repair and was not covered under my warranty! I rang them up and told them I've literally just bought this car and they tell me that all they can do is take 50% off and I now have to pay £260 odd pound for a light on a recently purchased car.
Not super happy about that, wanted to put a post up asking for any advice on this as I don't want my car to have something wrong with it while driving (who does) but spending that kind of money on a light for a car I just bought seems ridiculous. Was expecting Mercedes to treat new customers better than that, any tips guys or just suck it up and drive an almost great car?

How are your DIY skills? Generally this is not a super difficult task. It does require partial disassembly of the door handle and other parts.
