Due to COVID-19, Mercedes is suspending ALL lease return?

They only suspended the complimentary pre-inspection. You can still return your leased vehicle to a dealer that still receives lease return vehicles, but as it says, not all dealerships do at the moment. Alternatively, MBFS offers month-by-month lease extensions if you wanna wait it out. You can call them and they'll extend your lease, so you can return it at a later date. It's pretty much all there in what you posted.

It seems to me that it would STILL be in the lessor's best interest to let the lease extend. They'll still get the same monthly payment for a somewhat older vehicle. Not a bad proposition for them. On the flip side, I suppose what they lose out on is selling/leasing another NEW vehicle. Interesting.
