I have a 13 GL550 which emits a foul odor that I thought may have come from the leather burning in the heat or a small critter stuck underneath somewhere. Thanks. It seems MB disagrees with the settlement and isn’t paying. Dealers don’t do the work for free because MB isn’t reimbursing them. So the consumer takes it in the shorts again. Search this site, it is thoroughly discussed.

My dealer did the cleaning on my car a couple of years ago, under warranty (no cost to me), and fortunately the smell has not returned.

The website doesn't say anything about the dealers doing it for free. The customer pays and then files a claim. Reimbursement goes to the customer, not the dealer. It isn't always 100%, either.
