Vinyl wrapped window trim
My 2017 glc43 had terrible spotting on the window trim. I decided to go with a 3m vinyl wrap (black gloss). It cost $250 and only took an hour but looks so good now.

I did the same on my 2016 S550 coupe. As you said, it looks much better and blends the window surround better with the windshield and rear window trim.
