Mars Red Class Action Settlement
I have been following the class action lawsuit for defective clearcoat on MB Mars Red vehicles. I own a 2013 GLK350 and have had bubbles for several years and now flaking. I did not go to MB when it first occurred as it was already out of warranty and found others were not having success. The article states a settlement has been reached and MB will be paying (pro-rated) to have your vehicle repainted.
Has anyone started the process recently? What has been your experience? Any hints/suggestions on how to be sure to get a good repaint. My wife loves the car and right now there isn't anything that excites me to trade in, so we're going to go the repaint step at 50% and keep the car a while longer.
