Germany's Strikes adversely effect German auto production
Germany's largest union - IG Metall's wildcat strikes have potential of dirupting global automobile delivery schedules.

The German economy is the world's third largest, and accounts for about one-third of Euroland's GDP. It is the United States' largest European trading partner and fifth largest global partner.
German workers are on average among the highest paid in the world and enjoy generous social welfare and unemployment benefits. Considering an unemployment rate of 10 %, skilled workers in many industries however are in short supply.
Considering that Germany's principal exports worldwide - and particularly to the U.S. - are motor vehicles, these IGM union strikes are having a negative global impact and the potential of causing all kinds of anxieties/disruptions of auto delivery schedules.
