2007 ML350 Valve name and removal

Hello! I'd appreciate any help or comment on what name it is for this valve and how to remove it. The valve is in the below picture with a red X. The car is 2007 ML350. Thanks, Harry

The valve is located on bank 1 (passenger side) right below camshaft sensors and magnets. Harry

How to remove it? Chisel, hammer, and JB Weld to fill the gap.

JK that's wasn't helpful at all. Still, I'm curious as to why it has to go.

Update on my previous post so that it may be of reference for someone with similar situation - the valve is 2nd air system check valve on passenger (right) side. removed by loosing 3 screws below, see picture. The reason I need to remove it is I need room to access a broken screw for one of the Camshaft Magnet. I was able to do it successfully.
