Can I sell my Build Allocation?
Hi all --
New to the forum and wanted to crowd source an idea I had.
I put an order back in March 2021 for a AMG GLB 35 with the works -- every option added etc. The car just got assigned its VIN and is awaiting transport from Mexico to Baltimore VPC. Unfortunately my family's needs have changed and no longer need the car. Given the insane market right now (e.g. my dealer called me and told me Mercedes WILL NOT PRODUCE ANY V8 ENGINES for 2022 MY, will not include HUD, will not include massage features, etc. etc. etc.) could I sell my build allocation to someone who may want the AMG GLB 35? Has this been done before?

If you don't want the car, the dealer will gladly sell it to someone else, especially now when the demand is much greater than supply. You may lose your non-refundable deposit, if you had one. You can't "sell" the build allocation; otherwise people would reserve all allocations and start selling them on eBay
