Mercedes catching fire.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/05/busin...isk/index.html

BerlinDaimler's Mercedes-Benz has informed owners of its luxury cars of a technical defect that could spark a fire, adding a recall was not possible because parts needed to fix the problem are not available.
The issue was traced to possible leakage in the coolant pump that could heat up components, Daimler said on Tuesday.
Is anyone here one of the people who have been contacted?

This news has been shared around the forums already but if you don't have a diesel then you don't have to worry, if you live in America, you are not included either.

Yeah as mentioned above. Some other news outlets actually did the legwork and requested more details. MBUSA confirmed to Automotive News for example that no US vehicles are affected, and the German Bild reported that it only affects certain diesel models.
