A couple of things about the ebay products:
First, I am no IT tech genius by a large stretch, but some of the quirks I've heard about (or experienced):
I bought an Ebay one and I installed it and was successful on the install. It is very cumbersome to use BC the entire content is run (and has to be run) on a virtual machine, but it does work.
There are different SW versions being sold on Ebay and I couldn't tell you how to ID them. Some, because of the age of the SW version, have expired and when they do, they are date coded to stop working after a certain computer calendar date. I've heard of some running these successfully by simply back dating the computer calendar. Here again, I cannot tell you what those dates are for what SW versions.
From what I understand, they all do that, including the one I have, eventually, mine will fail to load BC of an expired date.
Consider having your girl play with the computer calendar dates. Back date the computer BEFORE installation. Try something like 5 or even 10 years. I have a similar SW from Bentley and my system has to show March 10, 2011 OR ANY DATE EARLER for it to run.
Finally, some of the vendors out there (and I use the term vendor lightly), have made copies of copies of copies of copies, etc., etc., and the copies become corrupted, so if that's the case you're fighting a losing battle from the start.
One last thing - The system requirements have to be followed and these products take a boatload of memory and hard drive space. You have to adhere to those specs. I took an older Dell with pro SW on it, stripped everything off so the RAM and disk space were all available.
Hope any of this helps you, but mixed comments coming from the Ebay vendors' products are common, so you're in crowded company.
Best,

It starts up oracle, but a black screen comes up and says
"Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem": it pretty much says to "Use my installation disk and restart and repair my computer"
"if i dont have this disk, contact my system administrator or computer manufacture for assistance"
File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe Info: The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
i dont have my installation disk. Is there anything else i can do?
And i was also getting an error on step 2, when extracting the MB2022.7z.001 file, that says "cannot set length for the output file: there is not enough space on the disk:"
Are these 2 completely seperate problems?
I've gone through and wiped everything off of the computer for storage, but i'm still getting the error.

I cannot relate to the second error. I assume separate, but then there is my limited IT knowledge working here.
A couple of times while running my system I received messages about running out of space. I think it had to do with the space allocated to the virtual machine. I went into the setup screen in virtual mode and increased the allocation and seemed to have solved that one.
But here again, I'm in no position to see/recognize an error message and have a clue as to what it actually means. These are meant for higher brain powers than me....like probably any 6 year old...
