Pennsylvania Remove License Plate Frames
3 judge panel just upheld and clarified a lower court ruling that any vehicle in or traveling thru Pennsylvania cannot have anything obscuring any part of the license plate and is subject to a police legally justified probable cause traffic stop. This includes, but is not limited to those dealer advertising license plate surrounds even if the plate numbers are still visible.
Just an FYI to think about removing these so as to not give them one more reason to pull you over in PA

WHo sued who for this to get to court?
dont lawyers have better things to do like save camp lejuene people and those who have asbestos?

Here in Texas front plates are required but I haven't been stopped about them in 15 years, and even then I was given a warning. Gee.
My new E450 Coupe will be here in November, and my dealer will have written instructions not to mount or even drill holes for a front plate mount or I will refuse delivery. They can write me up until they run out of ink; There will never be a front plate on my car.

PA is a pass-through state for “travelers” “traveling” from Miami to NYC. Heavily obscured license plates are common.
