Extended warranty cancellation
Warning:
Just received a $850.00 penalty for canceling CPO 84 month policy.
Purchased 7/30/2022
Cancelled 10/1/2022
Form Asks: Cancellation within 30 days?
No: $$$$$$$
When we purchased the car we were told that the CPO warranty only covered Recalls? And that it was basically worthless.
We were then offered a Supplemental warranty to cover the a/c and other electrical items?
Turns out it was a Extended Warranty starting in 2026 which of course we will trade it in by then.
Just know that when they say you can cancel for a refund at any time before it goes into effect is prorated???

The CPO warranty "only covers recalls"?!? You don't need a warranty to have recall work completed; a recall is a manufacturer's acknowledgement that they sold you a defective product (and one that is often dangerous) and they have to fix it. This is why recalls are tracked by the government.
My MB CPO warranty covered the A/C and much more; it was definitely not "worthless".
Sounds like you purchased from a very unethical dealer. Do you have any of the above statements in writing?

As to anything in writing, no. The mega dealership had just moved up to MB and had little to offer in regards to sales pamphlets.
What chicken scratch I do have is the 3 star PPM offer for $1,280 which unfortunately cost us $2,400. WTF!!!
They will not return any calls and replied by text , that is what it costs !!

I don't think you can cancel a CPO warranty, the car comes with it.
The extended warranty I think is prorated, so you would lose some money no matter what. Who was your warranty company and what kind of warranty coverage and terms did you agree to?

Plan to trade up at the end of 60 months.
The purchase was made under misleading information.
