2019 CPO C300 or 2015 S 550
The 2019 C300 gives me a lot of what I liked about the S Class but presumably lower ownership costs and more peace of mind with the CPO. I then find out the Mercedes dealership is charging a non-negotiable $1000 paint and interior protection that now brings the cost to 33k.
The prices are so close together I'm starting to wonder if I'll regret not grabbing an S Class despite the chances of higher maintenance. Any advice on the true costs of ownership between these two and what is really the better deal?
respectfully:
if you loved the s class, then get that. You won't regret it, unless you don't love it enough to cover any issues with the v8, and the technology in the vehicle.
if potential for big expenses is an issue then you cannot afford (emotionally) the s class. You won't want to part with your cash to fix it and it'll ruin the love affair with the car.
If the s class truly draws you, you won't regret these possible big repairs.
