Inside Mirror Functions
2009 SL550. My inside rearview functions don't work. The two under-mirror lights do work, using their switches. But the homelink and the auto-dimming do not work AT ALL. I have tried several times to get the buttons on homelink to respond. The "reset" light never comes on no matter how long I press and hold the two outside buttons. Also the auto-dimming on the mirror doesn't work. Have checked all associated fuses.
I am about to order a "tested and working" mirror off eBay and try a simple change of equipment. But I wanted to see if anybody out there has any other ideas before I do the switch. My dealer did not have any solutions, other than to "try replacing the mirror" which from them is a laughable $$ proposition. I am assuming STAR diagnostic would detect my issue, but they don't know how to use it.
