ODB2 recomendation
I am looking for recommendations on a decent ODB2 scanner. I am not interested in programming the car so I do not need 2 way communication. I do not want to have to use a laptop. I am not a mechanic so I just need it to give me an idea of what is wrong. That way I can decide if it is something I want to try and tackle on my own. Obviously, I want it for my Mercedes but I want it to work with other makes and models as well. But mostly I want it to be able to report all possible codes.
I have a Fixd reader that generally has served me well but I have come to find out that it does not report all codes. For example ABS DTC codes. I also used it on a Yukon and it told me that my airbag sensor needed replacing but not which one. I want to get as much detail as possible.
I am willing to spend a small amount of money if I need to buy software for manufacturer specific codes.

Good question, I should have added that. I am hoping to come in at $200 or under. But willing to go a little over if it really makes a difference in getting every possible code out of the car(s).

I know that you can get some really good software installed on a laptop and as I understand it that would/could be the best solution. But if I understand it correctly it is not as simple as just installing the software. And honestly I would prefer something that I could plug in at any time even if not at home. I am just not interested in going down that particular road.
