Gearbox clunk on restart after stop/start
Firstly, and Needless to say, I have disengaged the ECO / StopStart until I learn what the problem is...
W204 C220d auto. 2014.
Stop start is working normally.
Today, on moving off from the traffic lights, the engine restarted, but the (auto)transmission clunked before it drove away (normally).
And ECO / stopstart disabled itself fully.
Repeated, and it does it with only idle throttle, so throttle position not related.
The clunk is exactly like when (occasionally) moving from park to reverse, on initial startup AND if on a slope AND if I forget to use the parking brake.
No fault codes, no other problems, drive and autobox all as usual.
Any ideas??
PS. Dont just give me your views on stop/start. Not helpful, as I want to know if there is a transmission problem.
