I was cleaning out the garage and found my Dell D620 w/multiplexer. I used it with the round connector on my 2001 CLK 430 and it worked excellent. I was using a downloaded version of Carsoft 7.4 ( i think).

I no longer have the CLK and figured id see if anyone here is interested.
I have wiped the hard drive ( dban ) and reinstalled XP. It includes the Oem xp disk and a thumb drive with the drivers. Everything fits in the included laptop bag nicely.

I can't seem to find the Carsoft 7.4 that i downloaded so you will need to obtain a copy and load it yourself. I'm sure someone here has a copy.
From my research, this multiplexer only works with Carsoft and not Star.

Te battery in the laptop is completely dead, so you have to run it plugged in.
