My navi automatically defaults to Voice Guidance, and I always have to manually mute it because I don't like voice guidance. How do I get it to automatically default to Mute? Also, I can't find Traffic Sign Assist in the Assistance menu choices (although my the preowned-purchase paperwork lists this feature as "Standard.")

While navi is talkong, just turn the volume down. Its seperate from radio vol.

My goal is to have the navi volume muted while being able to listen to the radio. I don't see how turning down the "volume" accomplishes this.

Because there are 2 different volumes. one for the radio and one for the map directions. when the map directions are playing then adjust to the volume you want just for that. when map stops speaking then the volume controls the radio volume. one knob - two different settings.
