What Happens If I Don't Pay a Parking Ticket? Is There a Threshold Before Serious Con
I recently got a parking ticket and I am tight on finances right now. A friend of mine mentioned that you need to accumulate three parking tickets before the city takes any serious action (such as impounding your car). Is this true? I'm concerned about the potential repercussions and would appreciate any advice or experiences you all might have to share. How strict are cities about unpaid parking tickets, and what could happen if they aren't paid on time?
Please give me any advice.
Thank you..

The best strategy would be to check the ticket for instructions on how to contest it. It may not be dismissed in the end, but it buys you time. Although, in most cases you have to pay the fine to contest the ticket, and if it gets dismissed then you get the money back. Not paying or contesting any ticket and let it go delinquent is not a good idea. It will just incur additional fees such as late payment and penalties, so at the end you gonna pay double or even triple if not more.
I don't know your situation, but driving a car if you can't meet the financial obligations of doing so is not gonna end well. At least don't park illegally, speed, run red lights/stop signs etc. on top of it all.
