Need Advice: 3 Airmatic Compressor Failures in 6 months
First-time poster, we have a 2017 GLS that we purchased in 2020 under CPO warrantee that ended at the end of March 24.
In early march we started hearing a clicking sound and then eventually a Suspension Raising error was thrown. The car was exteamly bumpy to drive, and I suspected the air suspension system had a major issue. We brought the car into the dealership and they diagnosed the issue as water getting into the Airmatic pump system. They replaced the pump and a number of other components under warentee (not on my repair order it said reman compressor). Seems like the problem is solved. Then in July of this year, same symptoms, loud sounding pump and the error code thrown. Brought the car in, and this time they diagnosed it as a bad airmatic compressor. Tried to force me to pay but I made a stink and they covered it.
Fast forward to this week. Same symptoms, brought the car in and now they say the radiator is totally cracked and leaking causing water to get into the airmatic pump, which caused it to fail, $5k bill. I feel like the first diagnosis of water in the compressor was accurate, but they didn't diagnose a potential radiator issue the first time around when it was under warranty.
Looking for advise on how to approach this.
Thanks,
Tom
