Windshield Replacement and Camera
Hi,
I had the windshield replaced at the dealer with a factory windshield. About a year after I started seeing messages about active brakes malfunctions/disabled. I'd make sure the sensors were clean, message would go away, but come back every once in a while. It started getting progressively worse and eventually started getting other messages about unable to detect street signs, active high beams, etc.
What's the chances that the dealer damaged the camera? They are saying it's $3K+ to replace, but they got Mercedes to cover it outside of warranty, but want 900 from me. Sounds a bit fishy.

I wonder if there are system log records in the car that could possibly support your hunch. You had the windshield replaced on date X. Would the records show few or no such warnings prior to date X and many such warnings after date X? That would be some pretty hard proof!
I know the car logs many things, but not sure the level of detail and for how long. Hopefully some others will jump in here with more knowledge.
