SL500 Soft Top Help
Hello everyone,
I was wondering if I could maybe get some help.. So my SL500 was leaking fluid from the Main Lift Cylinders and I decided to change them out.. replaced them (was pretty easy), and was operating the top to see them in action.. upon doing so the top wouldn’t latch from the front (windshield) it would kind just get stuck latching and unlatching itself sort of bouncing up and down.. I decided to try and lower it all the way and reprogram windows and the roll bar.. tried again and was not latching, same thing kept going on.. I kept going back and forth between cycling the soft top and it just wouldn’t work.. I gave it a day to sit with the soft top down and when I went to retry it got stuck half ways.. I checked the fluid and I filled it up, turns out the fuse was blown.. replaced the fuse and now it doesn’t want to operate at all.. the windows don’t work nor does the roll bar.. so I disconnected the battery and charged it (it was a bit low) and nothing happened.. the soft top remains unmovable and the windows still don’t roll up or down to be reprogrammed.. I thought maybe it could be a faulty pump however when I bypassed the relay the pump kicks on and the fuse blows out.. I seriously don’t know what happened after I replaced the main lift cylinder.. if anyone could provide suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!! My apologies for it being such a long thread
