MB C200 CDI 2004 ESP FAULTY, STUCK ON PARK, BAS release switch: electrical faC1201->B
Hello, I need help. I have a 2004 MB C200 CDI automatic. On the dashboard, it says ESP FAULTY, the gearshift (lever) is stuck in the P-position, and the error code is C1201. These issues have been present for over a month now, and it's starting to get annoying to open the gear lever with a screwdriver. During this time, the problem has occasionally disappeared on its own, and I even thought it was gone. It always comes back. I got the following with the Motonet tester:
What should I do? I’m not a mechanic/technician, so it’s pointless to just talk without knowing much.
If the issue goes away and stays gone for a month, I’ll send 50 euros via mobile payment immediately.

LOCATED IN FINLAND.
- P2404 -> CAN signal from the traction control system brake light switch: unreliable intermittent (this issue was cleared)
- C1201 -> BAS release switch: electrical fault, intermittent. This is still active.
