I’m currently doing some research for my next project car and would love your insights. I live in the UK and currently own a C207 E250 CDI (OM651) with 130k miles on the clock. It’s been a solid car so far, but I’m looking to move on to something petrol-powered this time (obviously, haha).
Here are the options I’ve been considering:
- C207 (Facelift) - E400
- C207 (Pre-facelift) - E500
- C124 E320
I love the look of all three, but I’m after a car that offers more power and a bigger engine than my 2.1 diesel. Ideally, I’d go for a C207 E500 facelift, but I’ve noticed that this specific model doesn’t seem to be available in the UK. Does anyone know why? Was it ever released here, or am I chasing a unicorn?
I'd really appreciate your advice if you’ve owned or have experience with any of these models. Which would make the best project, and are there any key pros/cons I should know?
