The data used for this thread sounds like it was lifted from a CONSUMER REPORTS site, and then misinterpreted.
The common issue of failed inlet camshaft timers in the 204 4 cyl vehicles have been described in this thread by different symptoms in different year vehicles.
And no C320, or any other C class came with an ABC suspension system. I could go on and on.....
I recommend before you publish another piece such as this that you have it vetted by someone experienced in maintaining the subject vehicles in question.
As it is, this is thread is a misleading and inaccurate mess.

Re comment on 230 engine " rattle when cold also described our C180k @ 120k milage , most disappointing for a Merc which is generally highly regarded (perhaps previous owner was not very diligent ) I saw the worn Timing Chain ( only single Row) and the Cam Gear/s (top of 1 gear was worn to a point) incredible. other problems pale in comparison .Will persevere with car as it is a great & easy driver.
