Using CarPlay successfully for a year in my 2024 GLC300. Lately though I'm having trouble. The other day I fired up Waze and got the map screen with no content. I did a hard reset of my iPhone and Waze then acted normally. Another time I got the map screen withe the route but no audio. I finally deleted the app and reinstalled it. All well for a few days. Then this morning I got the map screen with the route but no audio. Before I returned home I did another hard reset and Waze behaved normally. Any thoughts? Thanks.
It's likely a software hiccup between Waze and CarPlay. First, update both Waze and your iPhone's OS old versions often cause issues. If problems persist, reset your CarPlay connection in your phone settings and check Waze's audio settings to ensure voice guidance is enabled. A faulty cable (if using wired CarPlay) could also be the culprit. If all else fails, test with another phone to rule out a device-specific glitch

Thanks. Will try the alternate phone idea. That may not happen for a while but I will eventually get back with results.

Used Waze 4 times on an errand run yesterday. Worked fine. I installed the latest iPhone update before the latest incident Wednesday. The problem started a few weeks ago. Let's hope the update fixed it. I will try my wife's phone soon.
Fingers crossed the update sorted it. If it acts up again, test with your wife’s phone helps pinpoint if it’s your device or Waze.
I can’t control the Waze volume. Plus it plays over phone calls. Anyone else get this?
I made changes to the Waze settings, I’ll report back.

Sorry for late update. I think I found my problem. When I turn in at night I lower the volume to 0 and turn off the ringer. Old habit. If I forget to undo this and start Waze I only get the map. Then I need to do a hard reset to get volume. I will try to rely on DND and see what happens.
