2011 SL550
2011 SL550 battery question
Whereis 2011 SL550 aux battery located. I have red battery warning but main battery tests good. Top stuck half way up?

In the trunk. Look on the right-hand side behind the liner. It's a small, square battery. That one powers the roof and electronics, which is why your top is stuck.

Steps to find it:

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Go to the passenger side rear corner of the engine bay (near the cabin air filter / under the black plastic cowl panel).
  3. Remove the plastic cover—usually held by push clips.
  4. The small AGM auxiliary battery (looks like a mini motorcycle battery) will be inside a plastic tray.
