Thinking About Fuel Efficiency for My Next Ride
Hey everyone,
I’m starting to look at upgrading my car and fuel efficiency is becoming a bigger factor for me. I’ve mostly driven regular gas engines before, but now I’m curious about what newer models are actually saving on fuel without feeling like a compromise.
Curious what you all are seeing in terms of real-world mileage — any models that stand out as surprisingly efficient, or ones to avoid?

Totally get where you’re coming from — fuel economy can make a huge difference in everyday ownership. A lot of folks here have had good luck with newer hybrid and small turbo engines that squeeze more mpg without feeling gutless. Also worth looking at real owner reports, not just official numbers, since driving style and conditions matter a lot. Curious to see what others recommend too!

I’ve been comparing options myself lately, and real-world mpg can be all over the place depending on the engine and how you drive. Some of the newer hybrids are surprisingly solid on the highway, and even the small turbo models do better than you’d expect if you don’t push them hard.
