All this importing talk...has anyone exported?

I may be getting transferred to Eastern Europe late this year or early next. The move would be long term and I want my car to go with me. Has anyone done this?

Not to Europe...but to the Philippines- My father was going to send himself a little W203. Cost to export a car to there is quite painful. They want 120% of the ORIGINAL value of the car in order to export it. Sheeeez......what a rip.

You may want to also consider selling your car here, and purchasing another one there. It may end up costing less.

Another thing to consider: If you have a lien on your car. Not sure if this would make a move more difficult.
