Drove the GL450
I'm in Colorado on vacation with family and NevadaJack told me over the weekend that Glauser (Denver) had a GL as a demo on the lot. I arranged a test drive early this morning.
My main reason for wanting to see the GL in person was the third row seating. I can say without hesitation that I believe the 3rd row provides adults very good leg room. I'm 5'11" and with the 2nd row in the first recline position the clearance was very good. In the second recline position I started to notice the lack of space. Headroom was good also.
Another point I noticed when compared to my 06 ML is that the 2nd row legroom appears to be greater in the GL. I had the passenger seat fixed for my driving position and the 2nd row appeared to have more room.
During the short test drive I could tell the GL was a little bigger than the ML but to me its the perfect size.
Overall, I'm very pleased and definately plan to order one when the I find out more on the US diesel model.
I've been to two auto shows recently (Detroit and New Orleans) and sat in just about all the new GM SUV's along ith Range Rover, Toyota, etc and the GL definately has the room and space to compete if not better.
This demo didn't have too many options from what we could tell. There was no sticker with options nor prices available.

Got home from Denver this afternoon and on the way home found out that my local dealer received his GL demo this morning. I'll now get to do a real test drive with this thing real soon! As mentioned in the other post he found out that MSRP will be 54,900 plus 775 delivery. Much better than anticipated.
