Early steering wheel buttons
I think this has been covered somewhere, but i can't seem to narrow down a search and find it.
When i was at the show in Detroit in January, the GLs on display had two extra buttons in the middle of the current buttons on either side of the multi-function wheel.
Now, I see that they are not on the actual shipped car and also not shown in any pics.
A few of you, I thought, had posted about either having them or knowing about what they do-I'm kind of assuming that once Voice Control is made available on the GL (as it is on the ML now), maybe this takes the place of the stalk???
Any enlightenment would be appreciated.

Your assumption is true. This is for the voice control system if they ever make it available for the GL. My vehicle has them and they only answer and hang up the phone. Plus if they start putting it on the GL, it can't be retro-fitted by the dealer.

Depends where I'm going.
The buttons also work for the Bluetooth attachment. I control my entire phone book and can send and end all of my calls with the steering wheel.
Here is a pic of my steering wheel. I though all GLs had the same wheel?
