Navigation audio auto-mute problem

About a few weeks ago my navigation announcement will not auto-mute the other source anymore. Example: When playing the CD, it used to mute the audio on the CD to make an announcement (turn Right, turn left etc). Now the CD continues to play at the same level and sometimes you don't hear the announcement. I looked through the options on the Navigation menu, but can't find anything. Is there a setting for this?

MINE IS doing the same thing, you can just barely hear a whisper now when you have audio on. Before it muted and she came through clear.

Had the dame problem on my old 2000 ML320.

What's the deal?

I have a fix for you both! You can adjust the volume of the gps chick only when she is speaking. Just hit the "RPT" button on the command center to make her talk. Then as she is speaking, turn up the volume dial and you will increase her volume. You have to be quick about it because she has to be talking when you do this.

You probably reached up and turned down the volume accidently when she was speaking once.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem driving to Orlando last weekend. Adjusted the volume when it was speaking and that did the trick!
