Took delivery!
Well, just took delivery of a new GL! Great truck. Having had 2000 ML, Benz has really made a lot of improvements. Incidentally, I test-drove a plethora of other SUVs, including the Lexus LX470, Range Rover, Infiniti QX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, etc... Nothing could compare with the Benz. Then again, I am somewhat biased as you can see by my signature...
Also, after evaluating a bunch of colors, settled on white with Macadamia leather. It looks incredible, and has nearly every option available, take a look:

I'm interested in reading your comparison of the GL to the LX470 and Q7. Just curious.
Followed a white/mac GL to Tampa today. I agree it looks great.

Well I'm not Jam ... but I did compare those two vehicles against the GL as well.
I looked at the Q7 just 2 days before pulling the trigger on the GL. One issue with the Q7 they don't come with an entertainment system(dvd). My wife said that this was a must have. I know you can get one installed from a audio/video shop but we wanted something that was from the factory for warranty.
Also the amount of room in the Q7 seemed limited to me. The back seats were tiny in comparison to the GL.
As to the Lexus ... well its been out a long time and they will be replacing that model soon. Its a great car but I wanted something that was new.
