Guys, I think the GPS Navigation is lacking info. For example, I was looking for BabiesRus, Kohl's department store.....etc. It just won't give me any info. I live in California, and this map sometimes give me address from other states.
Any of you live in California can you try that and see if yours show the Correct address for babiesrus and Kohl's. I have tried to spell the name different way but it just won't show any info. Not sure if the dealer gave me an old DVD NAV.
Should I talk to them?
I left my digital camera at home, otherwise I will do a screen shot of the search info on the display.
Any info will be great.

I've said it before many times in other threads. The navigation system in all MB's is the worst. Don't expect much. If there is ever an updated version of the system and I can retro fit it then I will be the first in line at just bout any cost.

Is the Nav CD that you just got with the CDI the same version as with your 06 ML, Jack?

The nav in the GL is bad and the CLS' is even worse. I have had a $35k Acura TL and a GMC Yukon with navs that far exceeded those of MB. They are really disappointing.

I'd file a report with NAVTEQ for each map discrepancy. They just announced their new error reporting tool recently:
http://www.navteq.com/webapps/NewsUs...ail&newsId=487
Im my area they are okay and corrected the most obvious stuff on the newer maps.
There's also an email contact address for MB map questions at Navteq. This is intended for dealers, but they might be glad to get some insightful feedback: mbmaps@navteq.com

My 2002 TLC has an awsome NAV with voice prompt. I can't believe that a 2007 GL class has no voice prompt in the NAV. I will probably order without NAV and use a garmin unit instead. I don't use it that much anyway.

The one in my S550 is faster (hard drive) and the visuals may be a little nicer but it works fine. I think Jack is upset with the map detail more than the system though I may be wrong on that.

Yes...if it didn't it would not be of any use at all. Complaints range from lack of using street names and specific house # as opposed to a range of numbers.
