Just wondering if there is any news on GL550 yet? Hopefully it be here soon.

2013 650i Coupe, 2010 IS250 AWD, 1999 S500
I would bet that for the 2008 model year we'll see a GL550 and in the first quarter of 08' a GL420 Bluetec along with a GL320 Bluetec. The GL lineup will eventually be a GL320 Blutec, GL450, GL420 Bluetec and GL550. No AMG model.

No insider info, I just remember the interview with the head of AMG saying that there would be no AMG version of the GL. Unless they've changed their minds, its still a no-go. They need to recall the R63 too, kinda makes AMG looks silly IMO.

just picked up a gl450 on a 2 year lease, still have my fingers crossed for a 63, as rediculous as it may be, I'll be first in line :-D

The 420 CDI V8 has 540 ft-lbs of torque . That's more than an S63. By a lot.

My salesman thinks the 5.5 will replace the 5.0 and 4.6 in all applications for the 2008 model year.
