Side Steps -
So I was told the running boards cost around $1600. Is that nuts? I saw them $500 on a dealer sticker. Who should I contact?

Sounds nuts to me, I say you gotta shop around. Also, there are guys on this forum and benzworld.org that have gotten them for less, search the two forums...you'll get a better idea.

That is correct
unless you order it with the truck (factory install), ordering them separate would cost you about 900 plus labor charges. If it is already installed, sticker is about right

Damn it GLDriver, thanks for the bad news!!!

I'll go to some local detail shop and see what I can get there...I'm super excited to pick it up...

I was thinking of getting personalized license plates, how does this sound B1G1TUP??...my girl started laughing at me when I said that!!

Just buy and install them yourself . I was thinking of doing that but then you need to order the different Jack as well. really not worth it

I thought I would be able to put them on myself, but it was way more involved then just jacking the truck up and bolting them in. Dealer charged me 375 for the install (for the ss running boards).
