1st MB.....need advice!

Very soon ( I hope !) I will be going to the dealer to take delivery of my new GL..........having bought many cars, there is not much to the routine that is new to me, HOWEVER, any advice as to what "extras" the financial guy is going to try to sell me? Because of my projected pattern of use of the vehicle....... I am already intending to buy a 1yr extension on the warranty, but beyond that is there anything else that MB "pushes?" Worthwhile or not ? Thanks................

2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
The push LoJack pretty hard for like $12/mo
That's about it.

And as far as the extended warranty. You can wait and buy that later I think. No need to spend money today when you can do it tomorrow.

I bought my GL through my credit union, but the guy there had an excellent point. The basic MB warranty is 4 years/50K. You can buy the extended warranty up until 10K on the car. Why not wait until you're closer to 10K and start the "clock" ticking on the extended warranty at that time. If you buy a 6 year warranty right out of the box, you're really only getting 2 years, because years 1 - 4 run concurrent with the standard warranty. Wait until you have 10K on the car (which may be 6 mos. to a year) and then start the extended warranty.

They tried to sell the LoJack, which is pretty pricey (for me) and the interior/exterior protection (paint protection & interior protection).

Appreciate the input.......no LoJack for me and the exterior paint protection is a waste of your money and pure profit for them. The paint on the MB is already one the best ( durability ) in the business and you can apply your own product and get equal results.
