Like a silly song stuck in my head!
I had forgotten about the air duct reflection in the window glass until I read about it somewhere today on the forum. So all the way home from work tonight I just had to look every 3 minutes to see if was still there! 
It never went away. It was just too hot to leave the window open. I have to get it out of my head. 
Please, nobody mention it again. Thanks for listening.

Actually the only reason I brought it up was that some folks were blaming the mirrors and I felt really proud of myself when I discovered it was actually the window glass
