MBUSA.com is offering a promotion with better lease rates or interest rates for the GL450. I believe it is through July 2. After "building my own" I went to the calculator, and for a 36-month lease (10K/year, 0 down ~$75K configured), the monthly payment was $1,137.

To me, this seems like a good deal. Will MB honor it? Can I do better? Can I get a 2008 and get this deal?

I do not think this is a particularly good deal. If you are looking for a finance deal, you can do better with a home equity LOC, even if the rate is a little higher, because it is tax deductible. Several national banks will offer people with very good credit rates below 6% on lease or finance deals. One thing the others can't beat is the ease of dealing with MBUSA at the dealer, however. But if you look elsewhere, you should be able to get the same rate on the car whether it is a 2008 or 2007 model.
