thanks guys, in the perfect world, I'd have both the GL for utility and the X5 for it's sportieness. oh well. I am blessed to at least have what I have.
Turns out their introducing a diesel next year too! That might get tempting with the way that V8 sucks gas!

Oh, dear. Granted, every time I've driven or ridden in a BMW I've not been comfortable either in the seat or with the drive setup, but it has been a while and with a diesel engine possibly being available ... oh, dear.

oh yea.. to be truthful, the X5 was probably among the least "comfortable" SUV's we looked at, but that was a trade off for the performance and overall road manner. Take for example the sports seats.. very hard, with large side supports that makes getting in and out of them a bit more trouble.. but they hold you in tight when you corner at high speed.. I guess we were just looking for the Anti-XC90 in our next SUV and the X5 was it... at hardly qualifies as a "utility" vehicle.
